Lisa Stevens – Owner and Consultant
Lisa Stevens is our agency owner. With over 35 years of experience in various roles in the travel industry, she offers a complete knowledge of the ins and outs of traveling. Lisa’s organizational skills and strict attention to detail help her plan each trip as if it were her own. Building customer trust results in customer loyalty and referrals, which is the basis of her business model. Washington is a transient city. Many of Lisa’s clients leave the DC Area but continue to contact her or refer their friends and colleagues. Lisa has traveled extensively in the USA, Caribbean and Western Europe. She specializes in selling independent personalized tours (world-wide) as well as luxury resorts and cruises.
Erna Turner – Consultant
Erna is originally from Austria, and has more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry. She was a full-time employee of SCANTRAVEL from 1984 to 2000, first as an agent and later as manager. She has semi-retired to Cape Cod, but continues to work as an outside-sales contractor. She has extensive knowledge of Europe and has traveled the world on both land and sea, most frequently to Hawaii and South America. She enjoys selling cruises and excels at planning high-end independent tours.
Helle Madsen Hamilton – Consultant
Helle is originally from Denmark and has nearly 30 years of experience in travel planning. She was previously a full-time agent at SCANTRAVEL from 1997 to 2003. From 2003, she planned vacations for another busy leisure travel agency which closed due to the pandemic. She has semi-retired but rejoined the SCANTRAVEL team in 2022 as an outside-sales contractor. Helle has extensive knowledge of Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She has special expertise in ocean and river cruises, escorted tours, and luxury all-inclusive resort vacations. Her own favorite trips have been on cruises to the Mediterranean, the islands of Japan and on the Danube River. Her favorite island destinations are Jamaica & Hawaii.
