We are a fully-accredited, boutique travel agency. Our staff of experienced professionals has been proud to serve you since 1983. We offer prompt and personalized service. Our offices are in suburban Washington DC and Cape Cod however, we have clients all over the world.
While we offer nearly every imaginable travel option, we specialize in corporate travel and custom high-end vacations We are ready to assist you with hotel and resort reservations, honeymoons, destination weddings, airline and rail tickets, car rentals, escorted tours, customized itineraries, vacation packages, cruises and airport “park & fly” programs. We also offer travel insurance to protect your financial investment.
Our agency does not solicit large commercial accounts. We do encourage the business of small, exclusive corporate accounts. At present we work with several news broadcasting organizations and European embassies in Washington DC.

Lisa Stevens – Owner
Lisa Stevens is our agency owner. With over 30 years’ experience in various roles in the travel industry, she offers a complete knowledge of the ins and outs of traveling. Lisa’s organizational skills and strict attention to detail help her plan each trip as if it were her own. She arranges corporate travel with precision and speed. Building customer trust results in customer loyalty and referrals. Washington is a transient city. Many of Lisa’s clients leave the DC Area or even the USA but they continue to contact her. She has clients all over the Americas, Europe and parts of Asia.
Erna Turner – Consultant
Erna is originally from Austria, and has more than 30 years’ experience in the travel industry. She was a full-time employee of SCANTRAVEL from 1984 to 2000, first as an agent and later as manager. She has semi-retired to Cape Cod, but continues to work as an outside-sales contractor. She has extensive knowledge of Europe and has traveled the world on both land and sea, most frequently to Hawaii and South America. She enjoys selling cruises and excels at planning high-end independent tours.

Helle Madsen Hamilton – Consultant
Helle is originally from Denmark and has more than 25 years experience in travel planning. She was a full-time agent at SCANTRAVEL from 1997 to 2003. Since 2003 she has been planning vacations for a busy leisure travel agency in Fairfax, VA which closed due to the pandemic. She has now semi-retired but has rejoined the SCANTRAVEL team as an outside-sales contractor. Helle has extensive knowledge of Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She most recently traveled to the Mediterranean and sailed the Rhine and Danube rivers. She has special expertise in ocean and river cruises, escorted tours, and luxury all-inclusive resort vacations.
